Artist Statement:
Photography is a parallel universe, a timeless space I am building according to my feelings, my states of mind, my rules. It’s an oasis where my interaction with reality and my inner self is layered down. It’s a way of expression and communication. Here I am growing up and diving towards my essence. I am driven there astray from well known paths, lead by my intuition and sensibilities. My photographs represent metaphors that correspond to unexplainable feelings and phenomena I am attaching to myself, therefore my entire “Inside out” exhibition is a collection of self portraits combined with abstract elements that emphasize dominant emotion. I chose to work in black and white technique in order to focus viewer’s attention to the key emotion of the photograph is representing.
