Artist Statement:
Rick Griggs is a multidisciplinary abstract artist and pastry chef. Abstract painting and found object construction are his focus. His serious immersion into the art scene was in Miami, Florida in the mid 90s. Rick found mentorship with several professional artists at the Bakehouse Art Complex in the famed Wynwoood Art District. This was a formative time for development and experimentation. While in Miami he was able to experience several group shows and sold pieces to prominent collectors, including Marty Marguiles and Queen Latifah. Rick continues to show permanently in Dallas, Texas at Guggenhome Gallery.
