Artist Statement:

I care a lot about process, about experimentation, about saying yes before I know what I’m fully getting myself into. And I think that’s why my work is fairly diverse in medium and style. I’ve been drawing since I was a kid, seriously painting with acrylics since 2009, painting with oils since 2011 and recently I’ve been working on a major project using black ink on canvas. I have done some sculpture work and some wood carving but mostly enjoy 2 dimensional visual art. In my work I try to capture emotion in unexpected ways. I’m interested in form and communication, color and feeling.
