Artist Statement:
My painting address relationships,love,and human interaction.My multi-step technique begins with creating shapes that take the form of humans,usually two connected figures,followed by color blocking using watercolors.The final layer involves mark making to add depth and texture.Placing these marks,which may include acrylic dot work,hatch marks and circles,requires much focus and consideration to create patterning that looks random yet achieves a purposeful result.Working in this process fells to me like embarking on a adventure with a thousand possibilities,just like life itself
